What If a Person Delays Salah (Namaz) Due to Laziness?

The Query:

If a person is lazy and delays his salah and even though he performs it later, will he have to remain in Hell for a period of performing Qada Salah for seventy thousand years, Is this correct or not?

The Answer:

If there is no valid shar'i reason, one should not delay salah to such an extent that it becomes Qada. If for such reason, salah becomes Qada, then it is indeed Haraam, Fisq (transgression) and a major sin (kabirah). It is entirely up to the Ordinance of the Merciful Almighty Allah to punish or forgive such a person. No Muslim will remain in the Fire of Hell more than the life of duniya that is seven thousand years.
