Can One Cross Over Someone Engaged In Salaah?
The Query:
Can one cross over someone who is engaged in salaah?
The Answer:
Sayyiduna RasūlAllāh ﷺ states: If a person crossing over someone engaged in salaah knows what a great sin it is, then he would rather wait for forty years for him to complete his salaah than crossing over [1].
Another Hadith says: If you are aware how great a sin it is to cross over someone engaged in salaah, then it will be better for you not to take a single step and wait a hundred years [2].
