How to overcome the temptation (waswasa) of evil (shaytaan)?

The Query:

What can be done to overcome the temptation (waswasa or وسوسہ) of evil (shaytaan) ?

The Answer:

To get rid of the temptation of evil shaytaan, one should recite the following

آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ هُوَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُ وَٱلۡأٓخِرُ وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ وَٱلۡبَاطِنُۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٌ

Amantu Bil'lahi Wa Rusulihi Huwal Awwalu Wal Aakhiru Waz-Zahiru Wal-Batinu Wa Huwa Bi Kulli Shai'in 'Aleem

And the waswasa (وسوسہ) will stop immediately. Infact, if you just recite

آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ

Amantu Bil'lahi Wa Rusulihi

It will go away.
