Cleanliness Is Half Of Faith - Hadith 23

عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم الطَّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلَأُ الْمِيزَانَ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلَآنِ -أَوْ: تَمْلَأُ- مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ، وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَك أَوْ عَلَيْك، كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَغْدُو، فَبَائِعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوبِقُهَا. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ

Narrated by Abū Mālik Ĥārith ibn Áāşim al-Ashárī radiyAllāhu Anhu, and he said: RasūlAllāh ﷺ said:

Cleanliness is half of faith; [the reward for] Praise of Allāh [saying: alĥamdu lillāh] will fill the scales; [and the reward for] glorifying Allāh and praising Him [saying sub’ĥān Allāh, al-ĥamdu lillāh] will fill [the space] between the heavens and the earth; prayer is light; charity is evidence [for your faith]; patience is radiance; the Qur’ān is proof – either in your favour or against you. Every man rises in the morning [and strives] in trading his soul – [by which he] either attains salvation or [hurls] towards his doom.
